LAURA KATHERINE BOSTON

Laura Katherine Boston died Wednesday, August 1, 2001 at the ParkView Regional Medical Center. She was 81.

Mrs. Boston was a lifelong resident of Vicksburg. She was a dietitian with the Kuhn Hospital and the owner and operator of the Ye Old Ice Cream parlor for over six years. She also helped her husband in the painting business and was a member of Bowmar Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Coleman Sam and Laura Ragland Ransome; her three husbands, Bill Reaves, Chester Boler, and David Boston; a son, Otto Reaves; and four brothers, Norman Ransome, William Ransome, Coleman Ransome, and Tinie Ransome.

She is survived by her six sons, Steven L. Boston, Mickey Reaves, and Bob Boler, all of Vicksburg, Jerry Reaves of New Orleans, Jimmy Reaves of Jacksonville, Fla., and David Belivins of Georgia; four daughters, Mary Golden and Nancy Boler, both of Kilgore, Texas, Gail Ransome of Covington, La., and Sue Ransome of Utah; grandchildren; great grandchildren; great-great grandchildren; nieces; and nephews.

Services for Mrs. Boston will be at 3 p.m. Sunday at the Fisher-Riles Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Mark Rowlen officiating.

Visitation will be from 1 p.m. Sunday until the hour of the service at the Chapel.
