DEATH OF MRS. M. G. MANLEY

Prominent Lawrence Woman Passed Away Yesterday at Home Here.

Mrs. Laura Pease Manley, wife of M. G. Manley, one of the most prominent citizens of Lawrence, passed away yesterday afternoon at the family home here, death being caused by apoplexy, as Mrs. Manley had been ill for some time. She was a very known woman socially and in club circles, being a member of the No Name club. She was also a member of the Colonial Dames.

Mrs. Manley was the daughter of Dr. J. S. Cleveland and Chloe Cleveland, and was born in Burton, Ohio. Mr. and Mrs. Manley came to Lawrence in 1887 and have made their home here ever since. Mrs. James Owen of Colorado Springs, and Mrs. Kimball will come for the funeral. The announcement of the funeral will be made later.

The funeral will be held at 10:30 o'clock Wednesday morning from the home, 608 Louisiana street. No flowers.

FUNERAL OF MRS. MANLEY

The funeral of Mrs. Laura Manley, wife of Mr. M. G. Manley, who died Sunday afternoon, was held this morning from the family home in West Lawrence, Rev. W. W. Ball, pastor of the Congregational church, officiating. Interment took place in Oak Hill cemetery. There was a large attendance of friends, who came to pay their last respects to a woman who will be missed so much in the daily rounds of life.
