Mrs. F. S. McCarty

After declining health for two years, Mrs. F. S. McCarty died in her home on Route 2, Louin, Tuesday morning at 1:45. Funeral services will be held in the Zion Hill church the residence Thursday morning at ten o'clock and burial following in the Zion Hill cemetery. The Rev. Katherene Keys of Larange, La., will conduct the services. She was a member of the holiness faith.

Born in Newton county, she had resided in Jasper since her marriage, was 68 years old.

Surviving are her husband, E. S. [sic F. S.] McCarty, three sons, Grafton McCarty, Bay Springs; Garland McCarty, Louin Rt. 2; and F. R. McCarty, Braxton. Two daughters, Mrs. Jim Magalene Arnold, Marietta, Ohio, and Mrs. Jim Hawker, Raleigh, N.C. Three brothers, Zack Sims, Philadelphia, Willie Sims, Noxapater and Nemmie Sims, Winnfield, La. A sister, Mrs. J. R. Evans, Louin. Three half-brothers: Quilla Sims and Walter Sims, Bay Springs and Nonnie Sims, Pascagoula. Two half-sisters, Mrs. Walter Ishee, Taylorsville and Mrs. Guy Thigpen, Pascagoula. Eleven grandchildren.

Mr. and Mrs. McCarty lost two sons in World War II and two other grown sons from other causes.
