Funeral services for Mrs. Laura Steen Peters were hold at 10 m.
Tuesday, January 7, 2003 in the chapel of Hixon Brothers,
Pineville, with Clarence Mounce and Eric White officiating. Burial
was in Forest Lawn Memorial Park under direction. of Hixon
Brothers Funeral Home.
Mrs. Peters, 96, of Winnfield died Sunday, January 5, 2003 in Winn
Parish Medical Center, Winnfield.
She was a homemaker and was retired from the Rapides Parish School
Food Services Department.
Mrs. Peters was preceded in death by her husband, Ike Peters and a
son, Doyle Peters.
Survivors include one son, Don Peters and wife Evelyn of Dry
Prong; two daughters, Ethel Lea Peters and Virginia Provence, both
of Winnfield; one daughter-in-law, Fay (Mrs. Doyle) Peters of Fair
Grove, Missouri; seven grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren;
one great-great-granddaughter; a number of nieces and nephews and
a host of friends.
Pallbearers were Philip Hebert, Don Price, John Price, Tommy
Provence, Kenneth Richardson and Sherman Richardson.
Honorary Pallbearers were Tommy Bankston, Dwight Callender, Leroy
Cox, Clayson Dunlap, Ron Frazier, D'Wayne Hebert, Melvin Hebert,
Rolland Huffman, Jesse Lonadier, Mike Peter, John Richardson, and
Ron Skains.
