MRS. LAURA McLAMB

A funeral service for Mrs. Laura McLamb, 78, of Benson was held in Benson Wednesday afternoon at 3 o'clock at Tabernacle Free Will Baptist Church of which she had been a member for many years. The Rev. J. D. Capps, pastor, officiated, assisted by the Rev. Morrison Brown of Garland and the Rev. Joe Ange of Durham. Interment was in Benson Cemetery.

Mrs. McLamb died in Lee County Hospital in Sanford Sunday afternoon.

Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Sarah Brown of Erwin, Mrs. W. A. Gibbs of Benson and Mrs. Garland Stewart of Faison; three sons, William F. McLamb of Route 2, Benson, John McLamb of Sanford and Carlie McLamb of Durham; two sisters, Mrs. Effie Beasley of Route 2, Benson, and Mrs. George Register of near Benson; one brother, B. J. Wood of Benson; 22 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren.
