Laverne Holdcraft
October 27, 1926 - August 3, 2013

Tahlequah, OK -- Funeral Services for Laverne Holdcraft will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday August 7, 2013 at the Park Hill Baptist Church with Bro. John Lee officiating. Interment will follow in the Ft. Gibson National Cemetery under the care and direction of Hart Funeral Home of Tahlequah.

Laverne Holdcraft the daughter of Joseph Columbus and Eunice (Sessions) McGee was born October 27, 1926 in the Martin Community of Coushatta, Louisiana and departed this life to be with her Lord on August 3, 2013 at her home in Tahlequah, Oklahoma.

Laverne was a very loving person. She held two Master's Degrees from the New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisiana. Laverne served the Lord all her life. She married Berry Holdcraft July 12, 1951 after being best friends for several years. She aspired to be a missionary and after Berry retired they went on a few mission trips to Africa.

Laverne will be remembered for her love of music and her lifetime of service to the Lord. She touched many lives and will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Laverne was preceded in death by her parents.

She is survived by a loving family which includes her husband of over 62 years Berry Holdcraft of the home; her children Faith Dewald-Hammel of Federal Way, WA, Grace Crews and husband David of Keys, David M. Holdcraft and Hannah Joy Holdcraft both of Tahlequah; her sister Macie Martin of Jonesboro, LA; 7 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. Many friends and other relatives also survive her.
