Laverne Hutcheson
Laverne Hutcheson, 87 of Magnolia, Arkansas died Sunday, January 9, 2011 at the John R. Williamson Hospice House in El Dorado. She was born on October 5, 1923 in Rayville, Louisiana to the late Jim and Ella Lou (Tullis) Redd.
Laverne in younger years worked in the cotton fields in Arkansas and Louisiana, was later employed with the Army Ammunition Plant in Minden, Louisiana and she was a member of the Atlanta Methodist Church.
She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Charles Lester Hutcheson, six sisters and son-in-law, Dayton Dickson.
She is survived by her daughter Deanie Dickson; granddaughter Debbie Dickson Harvey; grandson Doug Dickson and wife Melissa; great grandchildren Courtney Harvey Faulk and husband Brian, Dayton Michael and McKinsey Dickson; great-great grandchildren Addyson and Weston ``Hutch'' Faulk all of Magnolia; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 11th from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Lewis Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, January 12th at 2:30 p.m. at Lewis Chapel with Bro. Eric Goble officiating and assisted by Bro. Chris Lucy. Burial will follow at the Atlanta Baptist Cemetery under the direction of Lewis Funeral Home, Inc. of Magnolia.
Pallbearers will be Jimmy Ray Wynn, Roy J. Roberson, Bobby Joe Roberson, Will Roberson, Harold Rogers, and W.D. Rogers. Honorary pallbearers will be Tommy Wynn and Pat Hammock.
Memorial donations may be made to the John R. Williamson Hospice House, 2301 Champagnolle Road, El Dorado, AR 71730.
