Laverne Richey Cockerham

Funeral services for Laverne Richey Cockerham will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, May 14, 2004 in the chapel of Rush Funeral Home, Pineville with Rev. Emmitt Belgard officiating. Interment will follow at Hemphill Starr Cemetery, Cotile. Arrangements have been entrusted to Rush Funeral Home, Pineville.

Mrs. Cockerham, age 74, of Otis entered eternal rest on Wednesday, May 12, 2004 in Heritage Manor Nursing Home, Alexandria.

She was a housewife and a loving mother of four children. She was of the Baptist faith.

Mrs. Cockerham is preceded in death by her husband, Henry M. Cockerham and her parents, William and Lillie Richey.

Survivors include two daughters, Diane Vidrine of Hineston and Kathleen Weatherford of Hineston; two sons, Ronald Cockerham of Cotile and James ``Jimmy'' Cockerham of Boyce; three sisters, Univee Wright of Manifest, Neva Lanier of Manifest and Octavia Ainsworth of Enterprise; three brothers, William Richey, Jr. of Hineston, Kerrie Richey of Manifest and Charlie M. Richey of Hineston; twelve grandchildren; and eleven great-grandchildren.

Friends may call Friday, May 14, 2004 from 9 a.m. until time of services at 2 p.m. at Rush Funeral Home, Pineville.
