A homemaker and resident of Baton Rouge, she died at 7:05 a.m. Sunday, May 31, 2009, at Harvest Manor Nursing Home. She was 87 and a native of Liberty, Miss.
Visiting at Baker Funeral Home, 6401 Groom Road, on Monday, June 1, from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Visiting resumes in the chapel on Tuesday from 9 a.m. until religious service at 10 a.m., conducted by the Rev. Huey Moak. Graveside service at Zion Hill Cemetery, Liberty.
Survived by a daughter, Judith Waldrop and husband Danny, of Denham Springs; a son, James E. Reeves and wife Melanie, Baton Rouge; nine grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Preceded in death by her husband, James C. Reeves; son, Thomas W. Reeves; parents, Donna and Ethel Whittington; sister, Thelma Riddle; and brother, Cedric Whittington.
She was a charter member of Foster Road Baptist Church.
