Lawrence A. ``Bud'' Cooley, Jr.

Lawrence A. ``Bud'' Cooley, Jr., age 56, of Nederland, passed away Thursday, February 27, 2003 at St. Mary's Hospital in Port Arthur. A gathering of family and friends will be from 5 to 8 pm Saturday, March 1, 2003 at the Broussard's Mortuary in Nederland. Funeral services will be 2:00 pm Sunday, March 2, 2003 at Hixson Funeral Home Chapel in DeRidder, Louisiana with Rev. Chris Ruwaldt officiating. Interment will follow at Old Cypress Cemetery in DeRidder.

Mr. Cooley was born April 5, 1946 in Oberlin, Louisiana and had been a resident of the Mid-County area for the past 35 years. He was employed with Motiva Enterprise for many years as a machinist. He was very involved in restoration of Antiques, a hobby that he really enjoyed.

He is survived by his one son; Brandon Creed Cooley and wife, Amy of Vidor, two daughters; Bridgette Chrissi Dewees and husband, Donnie of Temple, Brooke Crystal Cooley of Nederland, one Grandson; Colton Dewees, one granddaughter; Karlee Brodnax.
