Lawrence Parker

SIKES -- Funeral services for Lawrence Parker, 70, of Sikes, were to be at 2:30 p.m. today in Friendship Baptist Church here with the Revs. Willie James and Alton Hawk officiating.

Burial was in the church cemetery under the direction of Southern Funeral Home of Winnfield.

Mr. Parker died at 4:30 a.m. Tuesday at his residence after a short illness.

A native of Sikes, Mr. Parker was a member of the Friendship Baptist Church.

Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Ethel Parker of Sikes; one son, James C. Parker of Dry Prong; one sister, Mrs. Blanch White of Sikes; and three grandchildren.
