Lawrence [Montgomery] Rites At Sweetwater

SWEETWATER -- Funeral was to be held here at 4 p.m. Friday for Lawrence P. Montgomery, 54, who died Thursday afternoon at Simmons Memorial Hospital. He had been ill three weeks.

Born Jan. 4, 1904, in Sweetwater, he wed the former Effie Wright 33 years ago here. He was a stockman.

Dwayne Evans, minister of Lamar St. Church of Christ, was to officiate at the services in Cate-Spencer Chapel. Burial was to be in Sweetwater Cemetery.

Surviving are his wife; three sons, Lawrence Jr. and Jerry Mac of Sweetwater and John Montgomery of Midland; and his mother, Mrs. Della Montgomery of Sweetwater.
