Leamon Reaves

Leamon was born in Stonewall, Okla. Feb. 2, 1920 and died in Woodland, Feb. 11, 2005 after a long struggle with Alzheimer's and cancer.
He married his first wife, Juanita in 1938 and in 1942 they moved to San Francisco. He was a boilermaker in the San Francisco shipyards during World War II. In 1944 he joined the U.S. Navy. After the war he owned and operated several service stations. In 1968 he went to work at the UC Davis garage. He retired in 1985. Two years after Juanita's death in 1981 he married Corine Bow. Together they have enjoyed retirement and traveling.
Leamon is survived by his wife, Corine; daughters, Kaye Juhler and husband Mel, Nita Lloyd and husband Bill; three stepdaughters, Janet Mitchell, Dorothy and Margaret Bow; grandchildren, Raymond Juhler, Tami Hesseltine, Beverly Lloyd and six great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Juanita; his parents, Leamon and Fannie Reaves; his brothers, Glenn and T.J. Reaves and his sister, Anna B. Viscount.
The memorial service will be held at the Woodland United Methodist Church, Thursday, Feb. 17 at 11 a.m.
The family suggests gifts be in the form of donations to Alzheimer's, American Cancer Society and Yolo Hospice.
McNary's Chapel is assisting the family with arrangements.
