Lee Jones

SYLVARENA, Miss. -- Funeral services for Lee Jones, 52, prominent planter of this section who died Saturday morning, after a lingering illness were held Sunday at 2:30 from Sylvarena Baptist Church with Rev. J. E. Richardson, pastor, officiating.

Mr. Jones was born and rea[re]d in this community and is widely known throughout the section. He was an active member of the Baptist Church and a Mason.

Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Allie Krohn Jones are [sic and] two daughters, Juanita and Geargia [sic Georgie] Brooks all of Sylvarena.

Masonic rites were conducted at the graveside. Burial was made in the Sylvarena Cemetery.

Mrs. Jones is a daughter of Mrs. A. B. Krohn, of Wiggins and a few years ago visited her mother here in company with her two daughters.
