Lee L. Norwood

Funeral services for Lee L. Norwood, 83, of Gilbert were held Wednesday at Community Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Ron Charrier and the Rev. Gene R. Brown officiating.

Interment followed at Oakley Cemetery near Gilbert under the direction of Community Memorial Funeral Home of Winnsboro.

Mr. Norwood died Tuesday, July 13, 1992 at the Franklin Medical Center after an extended illness. He was a resident of Gilbert, a retired farmer and a member of the Baptist faith.

Survivors include his wife, Betty M. Norwood, Gilbert; one daughter and son-in-law, Shirley and Butch Hatten, Liddieville; one son and daughter-in-law, Lee A. and Charlotte Norwood, Crowville; also a host of nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers were Wayne Norwood, Leo Norwood Jr., Walter Purvis, Ben Purvis, Bob Purvis, Jeff Purvis, Wesley Mercer and Dale Mercer.

Honorary pallbearers were Larry Tarver, Steve Miller, Neil Simmons and Jack Allen Norwood.
