Lela Mae Sikes

Funeral services for Lela Mae Sikes, 83, of Winnsboro, were held at 2 p.m., Thursday, Jan 22, in the Chapel of Mulhearn Funeral Home of Winnsboro.

Interment was in Crowville Masonic Cemetery with the Rev. John Burchell and the Rev. Marion Collier officiating.

She was a member of Crockett Point Baptist Church, Crowville. She died on Wednesday, Jan. 21, 1987 following a brief illness.

Survivors include her husband, W.R. Sikes, Crowville; one daughter, Mrs. Orelle Atkins, Crowville, two brothers, W.B. Antley, Shreveport, Malvin Antley, West Monroe; four sisters, Mrs. Arzelle Head, Start, Mary Henry, West Monroe and Pauline Riser and Vera Peavy, both of Winnsboro; seven grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.

Pallbearers were Clint McMurray, Terry Lightsey, James Mercer, Gary Chapman, John Flowers and Bobby Cox.
