SICILY ISLAND, La. -- Graveside services for Lela Tarver Jackson, 95, of Sicily Island, who died Monday, March 12, 2001, at Mary Anna Nursing Center in Wisner, will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at New Pine Hill Cemetery with the Rev. Sidney Fletcher officiating.
Burial will follow under the direction of Community Memorial Funeral Home of Winnsboro.
Visitation is from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
She was a resident of Sicily Island, a homemaker and a member of Pine Hill Baptist Church.
Mrs. Jackson was preceded in death by her husband, Enos Jackson.
Survivors include her three children, Helen Louise Swaggart and Thomas ``Sonny'' Jackson of Sicily Island and Windell Jackson of New Iberia; two sisters, Lou Annie Peavy of Brookhaven and Beatrice Stutson of Sicily Island; eight grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be her grandsons.
