Lena Mae Cobb Brister
Lena Mae Cobb Brister, 85, of Bogue Chitto, died of heart failure Oct. 7, 2000, at her residence.
Services are 2 p.m. today at Brookhaven Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. Wiley Reid officiating. Burial will be in Wellman Baptist Church Cemetery in Lincoln County.
Mrs. Brister was born Nov. 6, 1914, in Franklin County. She was the daughter of Lindsey Cobb and Allie Bolin Cobb.
She was a retired seamstress at Stahl Urban of Brookhaven, where she worked for 25 years. She was a member of Wellman Baptist Church.
Mrs. Brister was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Delton Brister; son, Travis Brister; daughter, Shelby Kyzar; two sisters; five brothers and two grandchildren.
Survivors include her daughter, Katie Malone of Bogue Chitto; two brothers, Marvin Cobb of Natchez and Irvin Cobb of Summit; one sister, Thitus Cody of Summit; six grandchildren, Beth Frost of Bogue Chitto, Peter Brister of Fulton, Mo., Elizabeth Goudau of Zachary, La., Keith Kyzar of Ruth, Amanda Johnson of Brookhaven and Steven Brister of Brookhaven; 12 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
