Lena Nemit

BALDWYN -- Lena Sims Nemit, 91, died Monday, April 3, 2006, at the Daniel Health Care Facility in Fulton after a long illness. She lived in Vandergrift, Pa., before moving to Baldwyn. She was a member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church in Tupelo. She enjoyed sewing for the public, working in her yard and babysitting for a few very special children. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Andrew Nemit.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Holy Trinity Lutheran Church in Tupelo with the Rev. Richard Kreitenstein officiating. Burial will be in Prentiss Memorial Gardens in Baldwyn. Waters Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Survivors include one daughter, Deborah Ann Nemit of Baldwyn; one sister, Ruth McNeil of Louin; one brother, John Sims of Little Rock, Ark.; numerous nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be her great-nephews, Gregg Tucker, Brad Tucker, David Jenkins, Greg Marshall, and great-great-nephew, Drew Marshall.
