Lena Yvonne Walker

Lena Yvonne Walker, 78, of Willow Lane, Bridgeport, passed away on Saturday, April 3, 2010 in a local nursing home following an extended illness.

Mrs. Walker was born in Nacogdoches, TX on September 5, 1931, a daughter of the late Voda and Clara Effie Emmons Jones. She was married to Royce Delbert Walker, who preceded her in death in August, 1991.

Surviving are one son, Ron Walker and his wife Julie, Lost Creek; five grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; and one brother, Wade Jones and his Wife Ann, Brazoria, TX.

She was also preceded in death by one son, Donald Gene Walker; and one daughter, Jaye Dynette Berg.

Mrs. Walker lived and worked in Texas, and in 2001 moved to West Virginia to be close to family. She loved sewing, playing bridge, cross word puzzles and painting.

At her request, Mrs. Walker will be cremated. Inurnment will take place in Huntington Cemetery in Huntington, TX. Condolences may be extended to the family at Davis Funeral Home.
