JAMES, LENORD ``LENNY RAY''

An employee of Consolidated Gravity District No. 1 in Tangipahoa Parish and a former Louisiana Power and Light employee with 28 years of service, he died Wednesday, March 28, 2001, at his home. He was 53 and a native and resident of Loranger.

Visitation was at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home, Hammond, from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. Thursday. Visitation at the funeral home from 8 a.m. until religious services in the chapel at 2 p.m. Friday, conducted by the Rev. Michael Williamson and the Rev. Steve Elston.

Interment in Oak Grove Church of God Cemetery, Loranger.

Survived by his wife, Lynn Sawyer James, Loranger; a son, Lenny Ray James, Hammond; a granddaughter, Raelyn James, Hammond; a brother, Gwenon James, Loranger; his mother, Shirley Williamson James, Loranger; two stepchildren, Robin Payne, Ponchatoula, and Janice Moran, Pumpkin Center; and a stepgrandson, Damen Young, Hammond.

Preceded in death by his father, Russell James.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to North Oaks Hospice.
