Mr. Leo James Halverson
November 3, 1925 - December 12, 2010
Leo James ``Son'' Halverson passed away December 12, 2010 in a local hospital.
Mr. Halverson lived in Sulphur, LA. He was a WWII army veteran. Mr. Halverson was also a member of Westlake United Methodist Church and he was an avid fisherman and boater.
Surivours [sic Survivors] include his daughter Eliska Halverson Counts and her husband Jimmie of Westlake; grandaughter Jamie Sutherland and her husband Shannon of Sulphur; three great grandchildren, Caden Powers, Rylee Powers, and Chaise Sutherland; cousin Barbara Oakley of Moss Lake; nephews Dr. Preston Ellender and his wife Rita of Lake Charles; Keith Ellender and his wife Sylvia of Sulphur; and niece Susan Williams and her husband Tyrone of St. Gabriel.
Mr. Halverson is preceded in death by his wife Charline Marble Halverson, his grandson Jerod Powers, a sister Virginia Ellender Guidry, and his parents Louis and Leona Halverson Bass.
Graveside services will be at 3:00PM Monday, December 13th, at Dutch Cove Cemetery. The Rev. Betty Northen will officiate.
Visitation is from 12:30pm til 2:30pm on Monday December 13th at Hixson Funeral Home of Westlake.
