LEO FISHER
Leo Leonard Fisher, 80, of Texarkana, Texas, died Sunday, June 1, 2008, in a local nursing home.
Mr. Fisher was born Sept. 24, 1927, in Columbia, La. He was retired from Red River Army Depot, member of Elks Lodge, First United Methodist Church, Hot Springs, and First Baptist Church, Texarkana, and a World War II Army veteran. He was preceded in death by one wife, Peggy Fisher; and one son, Mike Fisher.
Survivors include his wife, Alma Fisher of Texarkana; one daughter, Dianne Fisher Button of Hot Springs; one brother and sister-in-law, Tommy and Nancy Fisher of New Braunfels, Texas; one sister, Lola Graham of Columbia, La.; two stepchildren, Misti Cranford and Justin Westmoreland; four grandchildren including, Shad Wooten; and one great-grandchild.
Services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at First Baptist Methodist Church, Hot Springs, with the Revs. Bud Reeves and Jim Benfer officiating. Graveside services will be at a later date at Chapelwood Memorial Gardens under direction of Texarkana Funeral Home, Texas.
Visitation will follow the service Wednesday at Christian Life Center.
