Mr. Smith

Funeral services for Leo Smith, 71, of Route 2, Caldwell, will be held at 4 p.m. Tuesday in Hillier Funeral Home, Rev. Jim Thompson, pastor of Victory Baptist Church, officiating.

Burial will be in Mount Prairie Cemetery in the Snook Community.

Mr. Smith, who was born Feb. 8, 1902, in Panora [sic Panola] County, died Monday in Caldwell. The farmer was a 45-year resident of Brazos County.

Survivors include one son, Harvey L. Smith of Houston; one daughter, Mrs. Otto Maass of Snook; three brothers, Bailey Smith of Bryan, Dewain Smith and Grady Smith, both of Somerville; two sisters, Mrs. Bertie Everitt and Mrs. Lillie Eldredge, both of Bryan; six grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers include Roy Smith, Freddie Maas[s], Walter Lynn Maas[s], Irvin Schoeneman, James Ervin Schoeneman and Dewain Smith.
