Mrs. Gordon Harris

Funeral services for Mrs. Gordon (Mickey) Harris, 72, of Carthage were held Saturday, Sept. 21, at 2 p.m. at Rose Neath's Bossier Chapel, with Dr. Charles Dodson, pastor of Central Baptist Church, officiating, assisted by Rev. Frank Ross of Bethsaida Baptist Church, Ida, La. Burial was in Cotton Valley Cemetery.

Pallbearers were David Walden, Dickie Walden, Ken Holder, Charles Newton, Clifford Beasley, Harold Glaze, Troy Tollison and Hull Heaton.

Mrs. Harris died Thursday, Sept. 19, in Shreveport after a short illness. A native of Urania, La., she had been a resident of Carthage for the past eight years, where she was a member of Central Baptist Church, and was a former resident of Shreveport for 35 years.

Mrs. Harris is survived by her husband, Gordon Harris of Carthage; one daughter Patsy Holder of Houston; four sisters, Mrs. J.H. Walden of Bossier City, Mrs. Frank Ross of Ida, Mrs. J.D. Tucker of Carthage and Mrs. Arlon Skinner of Converse, La.; three brothers, R.G. Mixon Jr. of Homer, La., Bob Mixon of Shreveport and James Mixon of Montrose, Colo.; two grandsons, Mike Holder and Ken Holder of Houston; and a number of nieces and nephews.
