ODOM, LEON OGDON

Died Tuesday, Dec. 3, 1985, at 7 a.m. at Baton Rouge General Medical Center. He was 82, a native of Lecompte and resident of Central. He was a retired Baton Rouge Vocational Technical Institute assistant director.

Visiting at Welsh Funeral Home from 6 to 10 p.m., with Masonic services at 7 p.m. Wednesday. Visiting at Zoar Baptist Church from 9 a.m. to religious services at 11 a.m. Thursday, conducted by the Rev. Jimmy Albritton. Burial in church cemetery.

Survived by wife, Audrey Corley Odom, Central; two sons, Leon Dean Odom, Gretna, and Leonard O. Odom, Midland, Texas; two sisters, Mrs. Blanche Kirl, Lecompte, and Effie Carter, Oak Ridge; eight grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

He was a member of Zoar Baptist Church, and Gordy Lode 133 F&AM, Lecompte.
