CREEL, LEONA BOYETT

Died Wednesday, Feb. 6, 1985, at 1:05 a.m. at Lane Memorial Hospital ICU. She was 80, a native of Winnfield and resident of Baker. She was a retired postal master at Joyce, La., with 38 years service.

Visiting at Charlet Funeral Home, Zachary, from 8:30 a.m. to religious services at 10 a.m. Thursday, conducted by the Rev. B.K. Miller. Graveside services at Union Baptist Church Cemetery, near Joyce, at 3 p.m. Thursday, conducted by the Rev. Willie James.

Survived by a daughter, Rose Epperson, Baker; two sons, R.H. Creel Jr., Joyce, and Adonis ``Don'' Creel, Kiln, Miss.; 10 grandchildren, Rodney Creel, Boliver, Tenn., Donna Stein, Alcoa, Tenn., Cheryl and Carolyn Creel, both of Knoxville, Tenn., H.H. Creel IV, Bossier City, Danny Joe Creel, Monroe, Dr. Terry Creel, New Orleans, Lyn Epperson, Hammond, the Rev. David Epperson, Daisytown, Pa., Dr. Larry Epperson, Baltimore, Md.; and five great-grandchildren.

Preceded in death by husband, Riley H. Creel Sr.

She was a member of First Baptist Church, Baker, and Eastern Star Chapter, Winnfield.
