LEONA EVELYN BIDDINGER FREEMAN

Leona Evelyn Biddinger Freeman, age 81, our loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother and sister, passed away January 13, 1990, at her home in Salt Lake City, Utah.

Born October 9, 1908, in Pagosa Springs, Colorado, the daughter of Charles W. and Cathrine Brady Biddinger. Married Douglas D. Freeman, February 14, 1928, in Farmington, Utah; later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. He preceded her in death February 18, 1987. Member of the LDS Church. A highly talented lady with her handiwork, including knitting, crocheting and needlepoint. Had a great love for everyone, especially her children and grandchildren. She loved to travel and spent many of her winters with her husband in the Southern California Deserts, where she started growing plants for her vegetable garden which all her family enjoyed.

Survived by two sons and three daughters: Ronald E. Freeman and wife, Frankie, Centerville, Utah; Charles H. Freeman and wife, Katherine, Salt Lake City; Betty Williams and husband, Homer; Marlene Dent and husband, George Gay, both of Sandy; and Wanda Pahl and husband, Alex, Salt Lake City; 26 grandchildren; 52 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren; brothers-in-law: Floyd Harper, Salt Lake City; and Owen C. Allred, Richland, Washington; sisters-in-law, Mary Rich Freeman, Vernal and Evelyn Freeman Roach, Salt Lake City. Preceded in death by four sisters.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, January 16th, 12 Noon, in the Larkin Mortuary Chapel, 260 East South Temple, where friends may call Monday evening, 6-8 pm, and on Tuesday, one hour prior to services. Interment, Salt Lake City Cemetery.
