Leona ‘Skeeter’ Chisholm

Leona ‘Skeeter’ Chisholm, 75, of Walker, La., and former longtime resident of Summit, died June 25, 2002, at her residence in Walker.

Visitation is 5-9 tonight at Hartman Funeral Home of McComb, and 9 a.m. Friday until services there at 1 p.m. The Rev. Joe Hammack will officiate. Burial will be in Montgomery Cemetery in Lincoln County.

Mrs. Chisholm was born Sept. 15, 1926, in Pike County. She was the daughter of Wren and Estella Norton Freeman.

She was a homemaker and a longtime member of Montgomery BaptistChurch.

Mrs. Chisholm was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Frank Chisholm; one son, James Alton Ratcliff; and one brother, William Freeman.

Survivors include one son, Frankie Chisholm of Denham Springs, La.; three brothers and sisters-in-law, Mike and Joy Freeman,and Donald and Geraldine Freeman, all of Summit, and Jack and Bobbie Jeanette Freeman of Walker; four sisters and one brother-in-law, Inez Brown and Bobbie I. Carter, both of Walker, Geneva Muirhead of Pearl and Shirley and Cliff Chisholm of Denham Springs; and a host of nieces and nephews including Sharon Joiner.

Pallbearers will be Cecil Brown, Terry Chisholm, Jimmy Freeman, Gerald Wayne Freeman, Colin Dupuy and Michael Freeman.

Honorary pallbearers will be DeWayne Chisholm, Troy Willieford and Ronald Joiner.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Trinity Hospice of Baton Rouge, La.
