Leonard F. Hawthorne

KEITHVILLE, LA. - Services for Mr. Leonard F. Hawthorne, 77, of Keithville, will be held at 1 p.m. Friday June 7 at Rose-Neath's Southside Chapel in Shreveport. Burial will be at Forest Park Cemetery.

Mr. Hawthorne, a resident of Shreveport for eight years, died at 6 a.m. Wednesday June 5, 1985, at Meadow Park Nursing Home after a long illness. He was born in Jena, La. and was a former resident of Houston, Texas. Mr. Hawthorne was retired as a welder for White Ship Yard and was a U.S. Army veteran. He was [a] Baptist.

He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Vivian Hawthorne, and one son, Charles Hawthorne, of Keithville; one daughter, Lena Hernandez of Houston Texas; two sisters, Mary Posey of Monroe, La. and Ella Stampley of Rayville, La.; one brother, Jessie Hawthorne of Oak Grove, La.; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Dan L. Hernandez, Jr., John C. Hawthorne, Charles A. Hawthorne, A.L. Dodd, Buddy Martinez and Darrie LaBorde.
