LEONARD P. McNAIR

Funeral services for Leonard P. McNair, 58, of 902 S. Fourteenth Ave., Laurel, were held Sunday, 3 p.m., from the chapel of Thompson Funeral Home. The Revs. A. M. O'Neil and E. W. Scott officiated, with burial in the Calvary Cemetery in Smith County.

McNair, a native of Smith County, died Saturday in the Veterans Administration Hospital, Jackson. He was a construction superintendent for the McInnis Construction Company of Hattiesburg, and was a veteran of World War Two, when he served with the U.S. Navy.

McNair is survived by his widow, Mrs. Norma Carter McNair, Laurel; one daughter, Mrs. Charles Edmondson, Pascagoula; his mother, Mrs. P. F. McNair, Magee; two sisters, Mrs. Willie Mae Rryam, Jackson, and Mrs. George Gibbs, Magee, and a brother, N. D. McNair, Birmingham, Ala.

Pallbearers were Edd Hester, Duncan McCallum, Darnell Rryam, Jimmy D. Maddox, Pete McNair, Curtis McCaskill and Lester Lyons.

Thompson Funeral Home was in charge.
