Leonard Ogdon Odom
Leonard O. Odom died March 3 on his 83rd birthday. He and his twin brother Leon were born in Lecompte to Leon and Audrey Odom. He married Billie Jean Nordstrom, and they were happily married for 62 years. He served as a Lieutenant in the Air Force from 1950-52. He earned a BS in physics from LSU and worked for a number of years as an engineer for Texas Instruments.
He is survived by his wife; their 4 children and their families, Michael and Donna Odom, Teri and Ricky Stephens, Karon and James Shipman, and Sharon Odom; 9 grandchildren; and 7 greatgrandchildren.
Gregarious and full of fun, Leonard made every day a party for those lucky enough to know him. A memorial service to celebrate his life will be held Thursday, March 8 at Broadmoor Presbyterian Church, 9340 Florida Blvd., in Baton Rouge.
In lieu of flowers, please offer donations to the American Cancer Society or Broadmoor Presbyterian Church.
