Mr. Leonard Taft Slaughter

Mr. Leonard Taft Slaughter, 87, of Florien died Wednesday, Nov. 12, after a lengthy illness.

Mr. Slaughter was a retired timber contractor.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Friday, Nov. 14 at Plainview Baptist Church with interment following at Middlecreek Cemetery. The Rev. Doug Hilton officiated and the Rev. Lawrence L. Hidalgo assisted.

Survivors include two sons, Raymond and wife, Lucy Dee Slaughter of Florien and Louis and wife, Sharon Slaughter of Florien; two daughters, Eula Killian of Waskon, Texas and Janis and husband, James Killian of Hornbeck; 12 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
