Leroy Campbell

Services for Leroy Campbell of Meadville are 11 a.m., Monday, April 25, at Franklin Funeral Home Chapel in Meadville with burial in Midway Cemetery in Meadville. The services will be conducted by the Rev. Kevin Griggin.

Visitation is Sunday from 4-9 p.m., at the funeral home.

Mr. Campbell, 78, died April 23, 2005 at his residence. He was born in Vicksburg on July 29, 1926, to Ben Campbell and Catherine Brown Campbell.

He was a retired forest technician with the U.S. Department of Agriculture. He was a member of Meadville Baptist Church. He was a veteran of the Army with service in World War II. He was a member of Harmony Lodge #1 at the Wahabi Temple in Jackson.

Preceding him in death were his parents; his wife, Lorene Blount Campbell; one sister; and one brother.

Survivors are his wife, Shirley Stanley Campbell; his daughters and son-in-law, Susan and Bobby Martin of Jena, La., and Sherry Campbell of Brookhaven; his stepdaughters, Jean Campbell and Judy Hudson; his sons and daughters-in-law, David and Stayce Campbell of Meadville, and Steve and Gail Campbell of Covington, La.; his sister-in-law, Pearl Campbell of Wilkesboro, N.C.; and his grandchildren, Jennifer Breithaupt, Louren Campbell and Leslie Campbell; six step-grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
