Hebert Man Buried At Old Bethel
Leroy Harveston, 59-year-old Hebert man, died early last Wednesday morning at the E. A. Conway hospital in Monroe.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. last Thursday at Old Bethel Baptist Church, west of Clarks, with the Revs. Lowery Crain officiating, assisted by Rev. R. H. Bond, pastor of the Columbia Heights Baptist Church.
Burial was made in the Old Bethel cemetery under the direction of Riser and Son Funeral Home of Columbia.
Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Mabel Harveston of Hebert; his mother, Mrs. E. U. Harveston of Columbia; two sons, Roy Harveston of Columbia and Thomas Harveston of Hebert; a daughter, Mrs. Sue Wells of Olla; three brothers: E. L. Harveston of Grayson, Dobie Harveston of California and Willie Harveston of Gilbert; three sisters: Mrs. Priscilla McCain of Rayne, Mrs. Orzilla Howard of Hebert and Mrs. Katie Mae Lively of Columbia and six grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Jimmy Poole, Burl Lively, Wayne Owens, David Harveston, Frank Henson and Gerald Wheeler.
