LESLIE CAMPBELL

Leslie L. “Bay” Campbell, 69, of Louin, died Monday at Forrest General Hospital following a brief illness.

The funeral service will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday from Memory Chapel. The burial will be in Spring Hill Cemetery. The Revs. D. L. Savell and Fred Breland will officiate.

He was a native of Jones County and a retired heavy equipment operator with Jasper County Beat One. He was a member of the Palestine Missionary Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Luther Campbell and two brothers, Boone Campbell and Josh Campbell.

He is survived by his widow, Lula Rayner Campbell of Louin; one son, Ralph L. Campbell of Laurel; one daughter, Mrs. James C. (Doris) Montgomery of Louin; one brother, S. L. Campbell of Centerville, La.; two sisters, Mrs. E. W. (Doris) Tisdale of Pascagoula, and Mrs. I. V. Almaree Gregory of Ocean Springs; and four grandchildren.

The pallbearers will be F. R. McCarty, Houston Halford, M. L. McNeil, Thomas Diav, Lavon Smith and Edward Smith.

Visitation will be after 5 p.m. today at Memory Chapel, which is in charge of arrangements.
