Lessie Lee Townsend

WINNFIELD -- Services for Lessie Lee Townsend will be at 2 p.m. today in the chapel of Southern with the Revs. Durhl Davis and David Webb officiating. Burial will be in Gardens of Memories Cemetery.

Mrs. Townsend, 81, of Winnfield died at 3:30 p.m. Tuesday in Humana Hospital Winn Parish.

She was a member of Laurel Heights Baptist Church.

Survivors include two sons, Jimmie Ray Townsend of Austin, Texas, and Charles Edward Townsend of Longview, Texas; one daughter, Eleanor Hawkins of Lafayette; one brother, the Rev. J. C. Creel of Dodson; 13 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
