PIERSON

Lester Green, age 81, passed away April 9. Grew up in Norman OK. After graduation attended Chillicothe Business College in Missouri, completed a 2 year course in 1 year. Came to OKC, worked for Carey-Lombard & Young Lumber Co, also the Dolese Co. He was operations manager for Barney Stewart Lumber Co.

During WWII, was purchasing agent for Von Frellick Construction Co., who built the naval base at Norman, also the prisoner of war camp at Alva. Later, during WWII, he was partners with Fred James and they formed the Lumber Calculating Service, using information from O.P.A.

After WWII, he rejoined Von Frellick, serving as vice president, operating out of San Angelo TX., in commercial construction throughout the west Tx. area. Returned to OKC , where he worked for Gordon White Wholesale Lumber and Morgenson Lumber Co. until retirement.

Survived by 1 son, Robert Lester Pierson; 1 daughter, Molly Radford of OKC; 1 brother, Ellis Pierson of Houston TX; 1 granddaughter, Margaret Kelly Bear.

Services 10am Thursday, Memorial Park Cemetery. Arrangements by Guardian Midtown.
