Rites Held For McDaniel

Funeral services for Lester T. McDaniel, 66, were held at 10 a.m. Friday at the Hawthorn Funeral Home Chapel.

Officiating was Rev. A. P. Bazer. Burial was in Antioch Cemetery.

McDaniel, a retired merchant and a native of Panola County, died suddenly at his home Thursday night.

Survivors include his wife of Carthage; one daughter, Mrs. R. D. Green of Shreveport; one stepson, Jimmy Lowell of Sour Lake; four brothers, Herman, Robert, and Theodore, all of Carthage, and J. W. of Bolling Green, Ky.; four sisters, Mrs. Sid Garland, Mrs. Lynn Garland, and Mrs. Joe Jones, all of Carthage, and Mrs. Coy Anderson of Kerens.

Also surviving are his mother, Mrs. Mattie Walker of Carthage and three grandchildren.
