Levi S. Harrison
Levi S. Harrison, a native of Grove Hill who had resided in Pensacola since 1973, died Monday at a Pensacola hospital after an extended illness.
Harrison, 70, was retired from the Navy after 30 years of service.
He earned an associate of science degree from Pensacola Junior College and worked for the college until retiring. He was a member of Olive Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Gloria P. Harrison of Pensacola; three daughters, Cathy Jones of Gulf Breeze, Fla., Cheryl Harrison of Springdale, Ark., and Linda Bray of Jacksonville, Fla.; a brother, Bealie Harrison of Chilton, Ala.; five sisters, Annie Mae Pugh and Leona Hutto, both of Grove Hill, Bessie Pugh of Coffeeville, Bama Luker of Thomasville and Haouida Pugh of Saraland; and a grandson.
Visitation is to be tonight from 6 to 8 at Faith Chapel Funeral Home in Pensacola, with services set for 11:30 a.m. Friday. Burial will be at Barrancas National Cemetery in Pensacola.
