Levi Daniels Lawrence

Funeral Services for Levi William Daniels, 82, Lawrence, will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, February 16, 2007, at Plymouth Congregational Church, Lawrence, KS. Private interment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Mr. Daniels died on February 13, 2007, at Lawrence Memorial Hospital. He was a life long area resident.

He was born on June 9, 1924, in Douglas County, KS, the son of Levi William and Lucy Rose (Newville) Daniels.

He was a dairyman and farmer in Jefferson County.

He was a member of Plymouth Congregational Church, a life long member of Dorsey-Liberty Post #14, American Legion, Lawrence, served on the board of directors at Lawrence All Star Dairy. He was a volunteer at Lawrence Memorial Hospital for over twenty-seven years and was a member of the senior golf group at Orchards Golf Course.

He married Ruth Williams Neibarger, January 23, 1981, and she survives of the home. Previously, he was married to Phyllis Sanford who passed away.

He is survived by a daughter Lynne Neibarger Brewer of Prairie Village, KS; one brother, Donald Daniels, who he raised as a son; and four brothers, Alvin, Clarence, Robert, all of Lawrence and Norman, Lecompton; one sister, Mildred Weibel, Lawrence, six grandchildren.and five great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by two sons, Karl Dane Neibarger and Kurt Wayne Neibarger.

The family will greet friends from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m., Thursday, at Warren-McElwain Mortuary. The family suggests memorials to Plymouth Congregational Church or Lawrence Memorial Hospital Auxiliary-Volunteer Department, which may be sent in care of the mortuary.
