Liger Cooper

Liger Cooper, 53, of 438 Browning St., died Friday at Doctor's Hospital after a lengthy illness.

A native of Aliceville, Ala., Mr. Cooper had lived in Shreveport since 1945 and was a member of Calvary Baptist Church and a 30-year member of Iron Workers Local 591.

Services will be 10 a.m. Monday in Rose-Neath Funeral Home's Marshall Street Chapel, with the Rev. Quentin Horn, pastor of Central Missionary Baptist Church, officiating.

Burial will be in Forest Park West cemetery under the direction of Rose-Neath.

Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Maxine Cooper; one son, Joe W. Cooper of Shreveport; one daughter, Mrs. Elaine Womack of Shreveport; one sister, Mrs. Annie Bell Boswell of Valdosta, Ga.; and five grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be J. W. Shinault, Ardis Young, Levrrett Ryan, Don Pickett, Fred Dennington and Paul Spohrer.
