Lillian Fox

COSHOCTON -- Lillian L. Fox, 81, of 1646 Woodland Drive, passed away at 2:20 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 17, 2004, at her home.

She was born July 28, 1923, in Coshocton County, to the late George and Effie (Berry) Layton.

She was a 1941 graduate of Coshocton High School, and served in the U.S. Navy from March 1944 to August 1945.

She was employed for 20 years as a secretary with The Beach Co. in Coshocton.

On Oct. 21, 1944, Lillian married Carlton H. Fox, who survives. Also surviving are a son, Carlton H. (Carla) Fox Jr. of Dayton; two daughters, Linda (William) Burnett of Houston, Texas, and Barbara (James) Shepherd of Santee, S.C.; seven grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Three brothers preceded her in death.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 20, 2004, at Given-Dawson Coshocton Funeral Home, with Pastor Larry Armentrout officiating. Burial will follow at South Lawn Cemetery in Coshocton.

Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 19, at the funeral home.
