RILEY -- Mrs. Lillian Spruell, age 81, of Cropwell Rt. 1, passed away Wednesday p.m. at a local hospital. She is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Odell Sims of Cropwell; three sons, Knox C. Riley of Bessemer, H. Vann Riley of California, Bush Riley, Jr., of Chattanooga, Tenn.; stepmother, Mrs. Henry Spruell, Sr., of Leeds; three sisters, Mrs. Visia Cheatham of Jasper, Mrs. Minnie Graham of Franklin, Tenn., Mrs. Pearl Shook of Brookwood; two brothers, Mr. Will Spruell of Leeds, Dr. W. H. Spruell, Jr., of Birmingham; 12 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Funeral services Friday 11 a.m. from the Chapel of Kilgroe Funeral Home. Interment Forest Hill Cemetery, Birmingham, the Rev. Eugene Griffin and the Rev. M. L. Cordell officiating. Active pallbearers, John O. Sims, the Rev. J. V. Riley, W. M. Riley, Tommy Ingram, Knox C. Riley, Jr., and Charles B. Riley. Kilgroe, Pell City, directing.
