Lillie V. McLendon

SHREVEPORT, LA -- Services to celebrate the life of Mrs. Lillie V. McLendon, 81, will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, January 27, 2012, at Centuries Memorial Funeral Home officiated by Rev. Chuck McInturf and Rev. Ira Schilling. Interment will follow in Centuries Memorial Park. The family will receive guests on Thursday evening between the hours of 5-7 p.m. at the funeral home.

Lillie passed away on Monday evening, January 23rd following a full and Godly life. She became a Christian in 1952, and worshipped her Lord at Woodridge Baptist Church for the past 15 years. She was a loving mother and "Nana" who will be deeply missed by her family and dear friends.

Lillie was preceded in death by her husband, Robert L. McLendon; parents, William E. and Glennie (Kees) Girlinghouse; and seven siblings. Left to cherish her memory are her sons, Robert Carl McLendon and wife, Mary, and Lee McLendon and wife, Virginia; sister, Ruth Schilling and husband, Ira; grandchildren, Lorrie McLendon Moore and husband, Frank, Erick Lynn McLendon and wife, Tiffany, Kaylin McLendon Bugbee and husband, Ross, and Karen McLendon McElmurray and husband, Will; great-grandchildren, Ashton Moore, Brylee McLendon, and Tabiltha Moore; and numerous extended family.
