Bailey, Lillie Mae ``Tiny''

A retired switchboard operator with the Baton Rouge Police Department, she died at 8:45 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 11, 2005, at Heritage Manor Nursing Home. She was 84, a resident of Baton Rouge and a native of Marlie. Visiting at Baker Funeral Home, 6401 Groom Road, Baker, from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesday and after 9 a.m. Wednesday. Religious service at the funeral home chapel at 11 a.m. Wednesday, conducted by the Rev. Huey Moak. Interment in Hillcrest Memorial Gardens.

She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Ruby Joyce and Joseph D. Rodriguez, Baton Rouge; and eight grandchildren, Leslie Schexnayder, Stacy Fletcher, Kim Hooper, Daniel Rodriguez, Vallie Bailey, Richard Bailey, Theresa Russell and Brett Bailey; nine great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Edwin ``Dick'' Bailey; son, Edwin Lee ``Dickie'' Bailey Jr.; four brothers, Clayton, Clifton, Daniel and Leslie Hudson; sister, Ruby Stafford; parents, Johnnie and Lillie Hudson; and a great-granddaughter. Pallbearers will be Daniel Rodriguez, Mark Schexnayder, Randy Hooper, Tommy Fletcher, Brett Bailey, Dwaylen Hooper, Joshua Hughes and Dustin McAlister. She was a member of Foster Road Baptist Church.
