MRS. LILLIE M. SHOEMAKER

BAY SPRINGS, Miss. -- Funeral services were held Friday, 10 a.m., from Antioch Baptist Church for Mrs. Lillie Mae Read Shoemaker, 78, Bay Springs, who died Wednesday in Jasper General Hospital. She was a life long resident of Jasper County and a member of Antioch Baptist Church. Burial will be in the church cemetery with the Rev. D. D. Satterwhite, Aris Brewer, and W. O. Pippen officiating.

Survivors include her husband, Walter Shoemaker, Bay Springs; five daughters, Mrs. Celest Barnes, Sitesville, MD.; Mrs. Hope Ulmer, Bay Springs; Mrs. Myra Tracey, Los Alamitos, Calif.; Miss Deloris Shoemaker, Los Angeles; Rachael Prislovsky, Memphis; two sons, Marvin Shoemaker, Fullerton, Calif.; Dr. Joseph Shoemaker, Okolona; 20 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Dovie Newcomb, Richton; and two brothers, Webb and Burley Read, both of Louin. Two children, Gerald Kenneth Shoemaker and Laura Allison Shoemaker, preceded her in death.

Memory Chapel of Bay Springs was in charge of arrangements.
