Mrs. J. J. Lee Dies In Edward[s], Miss.
Mrs. J. J. Lee, a resident of the Dodson Community for 25 years, died at the home of her sister, Mrs. [sic Miss] Hattie Bankston, in Jackson, Miss., Friday, Oct. 14, after a long illness. She had made her home with her sister for the past four years.
Funeral services were conducted Saturday with interment in the family plot in Edward[s], Miss.
Mrs. Lee was well known in Winn Parish, having taught in the Gaars Mill High School a number of years. She was a member of the Harmony Grove Baptist Church.
Surviving are her husband, J. J. Lee, of Winnfield; two sisters, of Jackson, Miss.; and two brothers of Natchez, Miss. She also leaves three step-daughters, one of whom is Mrs. Bernice Cockerham of Winnfield, and one step-son.
