LINDA IVY SLATON

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, February 10, 2006 at Brown Funeral Home Chapel for Linda Ivy Slaton, 52, of Baker, LA. Rev. Eddie Painter will officiate.

Mrs. Slaton died Monday, February 6, 2006 at her residence, following a lengthy illness.

Born June 27, 1953, in Centreville, MS, she was the daughter of Jessie Clyde Ivy and Eula Maxine Anders Ivy, both deceased.

She served as a dispatcher for a medical transport company and a business and home security. She was a member of Porwood Presbyterian Church.

Survivors include her fiancé, Quinard Samuel Lewis, Baker, LA; 2 daughters: Kelly Allison and her fiancé, Lenny Walker, both of Baker and Marsha Slaton and her fiancé David J. Knapps, both of Port Hudson, LA; a son, Brian Joshua Slaton, Baker; 5 grandchildren: Jessica Mae, Amanda Catherine, Ann Kathalene, and Michelle Reneé Allison, and Hailey Marie Slaton, all of Baker; 2 brothers: John Wayne Ivy, Albana, LA and Larry Clyde Ivy, Central, LA; a sister, Carolyn Ann McGraw, St. Francisville, LA; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Interment was in Roseland Cemetery in Gloster, with Brown Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
