Linda Jane Canterbury
Linda Jane Canterbury, 59, of Eufaula, peacefully passed away on October 18, 2000 at her home at Lake Eufaula.
Memorial services will be held at 10:00 AM, Saturday, October 21 in the Kelley Memorial Chapel of Black's Funeral Home. Arrangements are under the direction of Black's Funeral Home, Eufaula.
Linda was born January 3, 1941 in Englewood, California, the daughter of James R. and Vivian (Foster) Allen. Linda was a long time resident of Oklahoma City before retiring to Lake Eufaula. She was a graduate from the University of Oklahoma and a member of Alpha-Phi Sorority. Linda was an artist and enjoyed learning and teaching art to others. She also enjoyed having her art works in art shows, including being in the Annual Red Earth Show. Linda also was a Sunday School teacher at the Northwest Baptist Church during the Seventies and Eighties. She always enjoyed and looked forward to her classes on Sundays.
Linda was deeply loved by many and will be missed dearly by all.
Survivors include her loving husband, Jerry Canterbury of the home; four sons, Tab Butler of Overland Park, Kansas; Steve Butler of Liberty, Tennessee; Marcus Butler of Austin, Texas and Brent Canterbury of Fort Lenardwood, Missouri; six grandchildren and leaves behind a host of wonderful friends.
